In addition to being toxic-free, our Magical Paints can also be erased so you and your kids are free to change the design of your footwear as you wish. Included in the children boots kit is a box of Magical Erasing Pads that truly work like magic. Just simply wipe off the paint and you’re now ready to make your new design using our Reusable Sticky Stencils. It’s as easy as it sounds.

If you want to learn how to make homemade, non-toxic paint for other arts and crafts projects with your kids, we came up with some ideas and easy-to-follow procedures. You can ask your kids to help you out in the kitchen to make this activity more enjoyable.

  1. Before you start working on this, make sure you and your kids are wearing old shirts or aprons.
  2. If you have empty plastic bottles lying around in your kitchen, get as many as the number of colors you’ll make. Clean them thoroughly using soap and warm water. You will also need measuring cups, a big bowl, a large spoon or a whisk, and a plastic funnel.
  3. To minimize the mess, cover your work surface with old newspaper.
  4. You can only make one paint color at a time. Pour a cup of salt, a cup of flour, and a cup of water in the bowl and mix them well.
  5. Put a few drops of your chosen food color into the bowl. Mix well. Continue adding more drops of color until the desired shade or intensity has been achieved.
  6. After successfully making your first paint color, pour the mixture into the bottle using the plastic funnel. Do this carefully to avoid spilling the paint.
  7. Make sure to wash the bowl, cups and other tools before making another paint color.

Now that you know how to make your own toxic-free paint using tools and materials found in your kitchen, just think about the endless arts projects or custom shoes that you can do with your kids and how these will greatly help reinforce your bond with them.
