Painting boots with Mom and Dad

Hello everyone! My name is Tommy and I am 10 years old. I just love painting my own rain boots from MyDesign!

It’s the rainy season where I live and I don’t get to play outside very much right now. It’s no fun to stay inside the house all day doing nothing, so my mom gave me something fun to do to pass the time! Can you guess what it is?

It was a MyDesign paintable boots kit!

When my mom first gave me these plain old rubber boots, I wasn’t too excited. I’d rather play with my favorite video games than paint. But, when my dad showed me some cool designs I could paint and how easy it is to do, I decided to give it a try. It was easier than I thought! And I found myself having so much fun drawing and painting my favorite cartoon characters. Even if they didn’t look so nice, it was cool to have Stich, the Minions, and Phineas and Ferb rocking out on my very own boots!

Mommy and Daddy helped me at first because I’m not very good at drawing or painting. They also bought some stencils for me to use on my own. These helped me make funny underwater scenes or put some of my favorite animals on my feet!

My favorite part about the MyDesign boots is that even if I mess up, the magic eraser pads clean up any mistakes that I make. I always have fun seeing the paint being wiped away from my boots. Even my mom and dad seem to enjoy doing it!

When we finally went outside to take a walk in the rain, I was scared that the wet street and grass might erase the cool Star Wars design I had on my rubber shoes. But wow! Even if I jumped around in puddles, the colors didn’t wash off! Only the magic eraser pads can remove the paint from the boots! I really had a great time playing out in the rain with my very own boots.

Now every week, mom and dad help me paint a new design on my cool boots. This time we’re trying to get all the Avengers on them because I just watched Age of Ultron! With MyDesign, you can create your own shoes. I had a so much fun with my family making these and I hope everyone can try making their own creative boots!
