Spending Quality Bonding Time with Dad on Father’s Day Using MyDesign Paintable Boots

bryan_dadHello, Bryan here. I’m 11 years old. Drawing and painting are my favorite hobbies. It started out a few months ago when my dad bought me a watercolor kit. I actually used it all up already, but I still keep the palette in my room. Last month, my dad bought me more art materials, and one of them is MyDesign’s Paintable Boots Kit.

I’m not very familiar with using paint on custom boots because I only used watercolor on paper before. However, I still decided to give it a try and it wasn’t that much different at all! I was painting the right boot, while my dad was working on the left. We had a little contest on who can make the cutest dog design on the creative shoes. I don’t mean to brag, but mine looks a little bit better because my dad’s dog painting was missing an ear! I laughed really hard when we finished with the artwork. It was a lot of fun!

bryans_bootsMy dad asked me if I wanted to paint some more. I asked him how, when there was only one pair of boots that came with the kit. He told me that I can erase the paint off so I took it outside and washed it with water because that’s how I removed the watercolor stains when I get some on the floor. However, our dog paintings still stayed on the diy shoes so I brought the pair to my dad again. He said that I have to use magical eraser pads. He took a pad from the box and showed me how to use it. He just rubbed it gently on the boots to remove the paint. We waited a few seconds before the paint was removed. Then, we cleaned the erased portion using a damp tissue and soap.

I was out of ideas on what to paint so I used the stencils included in the package and painted more animals into the creative boots. It looked really neat! Then my dad showed me a YouTube channel of arts for kids, and I was able to think of more designs from there! Now, whenever I have free time, I make my own shoes with my dad and I can do it over and over again until the paint runs out, then I’m going to ask him to buy me some more!

Happy Fathers Day!
